On behalf of Archangel Group Internation, Dr. Sakuwaha and I would like to thank you for visiting our website and seeing what we are doing to save lives in Zambia, Africa.  

 

My name is Jonathan Macklin, and I am the founder and President of Archangel Group International, a Non-Profit Corporation (AGI). AGI is a registered 501c3 with the IRS (EIN-923114692) and currently operates in the Republic of Zambia. I am a long-time resident and police officer for the City of Decatur, Alabama with over 17 years of experience in law enforcement.

In April of 2024, Dr. Douglas Sakuwaha and I founded the Non-Governmental Organization, Archangel Group International/Zambia. The NGO is our sister organization and allows members from the United States to work in-country under a work permit. Dr. Sakuwaha, he is a highly educated Zambian nationalist who speaks seven languages and is respected by the Zambian people. His skillset has helped us navigate through barriers including a multitude of languages and many cultural barriers that exist in the country. 

 

AGI’s primary objective is to restore families by combating poverty and human trafficking in the country. Many people do not have access to food, suitable housing, humanitarian aid, clean water, education, or health care. This has created situations where parents are sometimes forced to abandon their children in order to survive. These orphaned children are forced to be homeless and live in very dire conditions. This has caused many children to become the victims of human trafficking for the purposes of sexual exploitation, organ harvesting, and slave labor. Throughout my career in law enforcement, I have seen firsthand that most criminals pray on people that live in areas that have a high poverty rate. To make matters worse, people who live in these areas are vulnerable to becoming the victim of a crime.

AGI combats this issue by using donated funds to provide much-needed community development projects in some of the most remote villages in Zambia, enhancing the overall quality-of-life. AGI uses a “family first” approach to bring families back together by finding ways for them to be self-sufficient and self-sustaining for years to come. AGI is currently digging water wells in the southern province of Zambia and developing agricultural cooperatives. Once these projects are completed, AGI will begin in a new village.

 

With my background in law enforcement, the organization has been authorized to train law enforcement personnel in Zambia. These newly trained officers will work alongside our U.S. counterparts to rescue those individuals who have fallen victim to human trafficking. Our training will provide and empower officers to be more effective when addressing crime while at the same time, keeping the citizens they serve safer. Our intention is to bring highly trained individuals from the United States to assist with the law enforcement training component of the organization. 

 

In order for our mission to continue, we depend on business, churches, and individuals that believe in our cause and donate to our organization. Your contribution will be used wisely, and it will go towards saving lives in Zambia. If you choose to be a part of what we are doing, any contributions will be tax deferable.

In closing, Dr. Sakuwaha and I will always represent God, The United States of America, and The Republic of Zambia with honor. We will never support any organization or individual that supports terrorism, crimes of violence, disregard to the law, genocide, racism, any forms of discrimination, or seeks to infringe on the civil liberties of others. More importantly, refuses to stand in unity with our countries.
